Motherhood is filming in New York

Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards are currently filming the indie comedy Motherhood. The film is written and directed by a relative newbie, Katherine Dieckmann.
The movie follows Uma through the day of her daughter’s sixth birthday party and all the challenges that come her way. Minnie Driver plays the part of her best friend while Anthony Edwards takes on the role of her husband.
They have a shooting schedule of 25 days for this film and are currently shooting in New York City to take advantage of the new tax incentives that are being offered. With up to a 35% rebate on most filming expenses we may be seeing a lot more films set in the Big Apple over the next few years.
